GRAMA Certification Test Will Be Unavailable June 27-28

June 20, 2016

We will be updating the GRAMA certification test on Monday, June 27 and Tuesday, June 28. The test will be unavailable during the update.

If you are in the middle of taking the GRAMA certification test, now would be a good time to complete it, as all partially-finished tests will be reset at that time.

The records management certification test will be unaffected.

    Hi, Renee.

Does the testing need to be taken beyond the first certification? I went to the GRAMA training in April just to keep up, but should I have taken the test again? I was certified in 2015.

    Thank you.

Records officers are supposed to certify annually, according to Utah Code 63G-2-108 (see http://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63G/Chapter2/63G-2-S108.html). You can certify at any time. We mostly just want to make sure that anyone who is in the middle of a test finishes before we clear things out.

If you do need to re-certify and haven’t started yet, I’d recommend waiting until next week, after the changes are implemented–we’re working to make the test less daunting and time-consuming.
