Upcoming Events

January through March 2016

The following is a 3-month calendar of training events offered by the Utah State Archives. We are still calendaring out training events for the year so check our periodically  website for additional opportunities.

To register for a training session:

  • Go to openrecords.utah.gov
  • Log in (If you have a Public Notice Website account, you may use that same login; otherwise, you will have to create a Utah Master Directory login)
  • Click on Dashboard
  • Click on Training
  • Click on the button that says Register for Training
  • A table will appear showing all the upcoming training sessions. You can sort by location, date, class name, or availability.
  • To sign up, click the button that says Register for this Class.
  • The table will change to show that you’re registered.
  • If you need to un-register, you can click the button that says Withdraw from this Class.

All employees of a governmental entity are invited to participate, especially records officers and chief administrative officers. Utah State Archives’ training events are free of charge.

Registration links for events sponsored by an outside professional organization are included. The cost of participation is determined by the organization. Contact the organization directly for registration information.

This class educates participants about legal responsibilities of government agencies in managing records and information. The legally assigned roles of records officers, chief administrative officers, and the State Archives will be discussed. Will there be more options for the Open Portal training after January? There’s no way I can do it until I have office coverage – my deputy is on maternity leave until March.
