Bridging the Gap:

Electronic Records and Information Management for the 21st Century

Friday, October 4

The electronic records conference is soon approaching! The theme for this year’s conference is Bridging the Gap: Electronic Records and Information Management for the 21st Century. Registration is high but we still have space for more registrants, so please review your calendar and make time to attend! The event will be held at the Utah State Archives building, 346 South Rio Grande Street on Friday, October 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

We have a great program planned with speakers including:

Scott W. Robertson from Park City
Scott serves as the IT director for Park City Municipal. His duties include management, budget and policy directives for IT, GIS and Records. Scott’s previous roles included network engineer, IT architect, technical consultant, and regional IT manager.

Rich Mrazik from Parsons, Behle, & Latimer
Rich Mrazik’s practice at Parsons Behle & Latimer focuses on litigation in the areas of products liability, mass torts, trucking collisions and medical malpractice. He has experience advising governmental and private entities regarding Utah’s Government Records Access and Management Act.

Daryl Downs from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Daryl has been extensively involved in the management of data, information, and records his entire career. At present, he is developing a new marketing and communications plan for the Records Management Program, maintains the Church’s General Records Retention and Disposition Schedule, manages the retention and disposition of electronic records stored in FileNet, and works with colleagues from the Church History Department on the selection, migration, and preservation of electronic corporate records.
